Last week we saw the Lamb (Jesus) open the 1st seal from Revelation, with the associated revelation of the anti-christ.
Where is the Church through all of this?
A type is given in Revelation when John is called up,
1After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” Rev 4.1
In the above scripture we see a trumpet call, and an upward call, is this not similar to 1 Thes 4, 13-18? (Of course there is not the corresponding decent of Jesus at that time to come for his bride as that did not happen at the penning of Revelation but was/is yet future) but we do have a type, shadow of the sequence of that glorious future event.
As we clearly have the anti-christ in view in 2 Thes 2,
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. “ 2Thes 2.7-8
until the restrainer is “taken out of the way” and Rev 19 outlines his destruction at the coming of our Lord Jesus.
11Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.
Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast …These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone
Rev 19 11-16, 20
So therefore for 2 Thes 2 6-8 to be accurate the restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit in the true Church must be removed at or just prior to the opening of the “seal”.

Who or what then is the believer commanded to look for?
Are we to look for the Tribulation? Or maybe the anti-christ?
Let us see what scripture says
13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, Titus 2.13
and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 thes 1:10
