Last week we were looking at the question, when will the restrainer be removed and the anti-christ be revealed?
There are some very specific Scriptures which give insight to that question. The one being Daniel 9.27 which speaks of the anti-christ confirming a covenant for the period of “one week”
Then he shall confirm a covenant with
many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring
an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations
shall be one who makes desolate, NKJV,
So a week used in that context is a 7 Biblical year period, each year made up of 12x30 day months. ( the Jewish calendar being a 30 day lunar calender) or 360 days per year.
The Tribulation being a period of 2520 (7x360) days or 2x1260 days. (is that a familiar number?), or put another way 3 ½ years + 3 ½ years = 7 years.
So for him to confirm a covenant for one week it stands to reason that he must be revealed at or just prior to the start of that week, not as some believe at the mid-point where he “ sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” .2 Thes 2.4
Now we know from Revelation 6.1 it is the Lamb (Jesus) who initiates the Tribulation “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the ]seals “
Then what happens? “2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. “ The anti-christ is introduced.
